Labor accuses govt of targeting super

Federal Labor is accusing the government of attacking retirement incomes after Treasurer Scott Morrison flagged possible changes to superannuation tax concessions. Mr Morrison said the government was "close to a landing point" on the issue, telling a super conference in Adelaide there was a strong case for examining tax concessions. Labor superannuation spokesman Jim Chalmers said Mr Morrison was proposing an attack on the retirement incomes of 9.5 million Australians.
